When it comes to bride shoes, above everything else, they must be comfortable.
It's going to be a long day and night. You will be on your feet most of the time, dancing and so forth.
A few things to remember are:
Don't wait until the last minute to buy them. Get them at the same time you get your dress. You can match your wedding shoes to the style of your dress and also have time to break them in. Wear them about an hour each day one week before the wedding. Apply some non-slip pads or rough them up on concrete so theres so slipping or sliding on the wedding day. If you are wearing a long dress your shoes won't even be noticed. Low heel shoes are great to wear (comfortable). Don't forget to look online for discount wedding shoes. But order in plenty of time in case they dont fit and you have to return them. For a beach wedding you can even wear fancy flip-flops.Pastel wedding shoes are very stylish now to wear with your white dress. It would be great to wear blue ones for your 'something blue'.
There are plenty of lavishly embellished bride shoes on the market. Most are very expensive; however you can embellish a plain pair yourself.
To do that use fabric glue to attach anything you'd like to a fabric shoe. You could use beads, sequins, rhinestones, pearls, flowers, lace or a particularly meaningful charm. Stitching them on is an alternative method for attachment. Or just add a few stitches after gluing for security. Look in wedding magazines for designer shoes to get ideas for decorating your shoes.
Another inexpensive way to go is to buy shoes you can wear after your wedding. For example, you could wear a pair of silver, gold, velvet or even pink leather sandals. They would be beautiful wedding shoes and can be worn later with a dressy outfit or even jeans!
